Flowers by the Stem Atlanta

Build your own bouquet from the Atlanta stem bar

Most florists sell you a finished arrangement. We also sell the flowers themselves, one stem at a time, from the buckets at our Dunwoody shop. Pick three stems or thirty, mix whatever you like, and pay per stem with no minimum and no arrangement fee. It is the cheapest way to get real flowers into your house, and the most fun.

Over ninety varieties, priced from $3

The bar runs from everyday fillers to the properly unusual. Alstroemeria, baby's breath, bells of Ireland and bupleurum are $3. Acacia, astilbe, billy balls, blue thistle and baby blue eucalyptus are $4. Amaranthus and roses are $5, astrantia $6, anemone $8, bird of paradise $12, anthurium $15 and banksia $18. Stock changes with what lands that week, so the buckets are never quite the same twice.

Bring your own vase, or pick one up here

B.Y.O.V. is genuinely encouraged. Bring a jug, a jar or a vase from home and we will build into it. If you would rather start fresh, bud vases and vessels are on the shelf from $3. Our designers are on the bench if you want a second opinion on what goes with what, and floral snips are $30 if you are doing this often enough to want your own.

Flown in fresh from Ecuador, Colombia and Holland

We buy direct rather than through a wire service, with flowers arriving on multiple flights a week. That is why the heads are still tight in the bucket and why they open at home rather than in transit.
